Over the next few weeks I’m going to be rebuilding this site. I’m not redesigning it, because I like the way it looks, especially with the new fonts (Futura and Adobe—changed my mind—Garamond
Caslon Pro), but I’m rebuilding the theme, starting with Aaron T. Grogg’s Boilerplate, so it’s going to look a bit bare-bones for a little while. Good incentive to actually work at it.
Here’s how it looked before:
and now, before the rebuild:
Hopefully, when it’s done, it’ll look like the old site, or better.
I’ll keep falling back to the old theme until the new one’s ready, so unless you’re obsessing over the site, you probably won’t see a thing.
This summer, our good friend Javier made a video of us playing one of Christine’s songs, How to Care for Introverts. We were on the Toronto Island ferry, playing a piano Javier designed:
Max turned 3 on Wednesday, which is, of course, a perfect excuse to do this:
Also, Andrée made cake and he got to lick the beater.
Happy Birthday, Bucky. We love you.
Robert Cruickshank made a funny-glasses-3d version, for people who can’t do unnatural things with their eyes! Thanks Rob!
My good friend Javier Lovera has just finished a short called A House No More and he asked me to write some music for it. He’s posted about it here. It gets released sometime next week. He’s an awesome photographer, and took some wicked pictures of my piano while we were recording it.
Max turned 2 last Monday, actually, and I took the Birthday Pictures, but didn’t manage to post until now. What a change since last year! Happy Birthday, Max. We love you.
